An ongoing series of digital paintings based on 'power animal' myths from differing world cultures. Many are Celtic in influence, but there are also elements of Native American, Polynesian, and Australian Aboriginal mythology represented. I have tried to capture a 'spirit of place' as well as the character of the individual animal in each work, showing connection with the land as well as connection with a particular mindset typified by the animal itself.
