One of the "Five Elements" series. This series depicts the five traditional elements of Air, Water, Fire, Earth, and Spirit (or Ether). The common theme of the 'cosmic egg' containing the flame of consciousness represents the potential for creation and rebirth in each element. People with an Earth sign tend to be the practical sort and fond of their comfort and security. Concrete facts tend to be more significant to them than emotion or intuition. Earth signs don't usually take chances and tend to be more organised to the extent that others might find them a bit conservative.
