Leo: July 23rd - August 22nd Peridot is a volcanic silicate coloured by traces of several metallic elements. Traditionally it was worn as protection against evil spirits and as an amulet for wisdom. In crystal healing is is believed to aid detachment, objectivity and wisdom. It helps to dispel pent-up hostility and assists us in dealing with our own shortcomings. Physically it is thought to have a detoxifying effect, making it especially useful for use against liver complaints.
