Virgo: August 23rd - September 22nd Sapphire is a member of the corundum family formed in rock rich in aluminium, and owing its colour to iron and titanium. Traditionally it represents the planet Saturn, and is strongly assocaited with angels and magical phenomena. In crystal healing it is thought to havea calming influence and to be lifting to the spirits, combatting mental and emotional disorders, and having an anti-depressive effect. Physically it is said to aid in healing of all types by helping us to develop the positive mental attitudes needed for self-healing. It is thought to be particularly effective for the nervous system.
